Beth-Ellen
Fried, L.Ac., Dipl. Ac., LMT
Beth-Ellen has been in the health
care profession for over 16 years. She started working
with people as a massage therapist, a career the
developed from a natural instinct to reach out to
friends and family- helping them to relax and feel good.
Having gotten training out of a
love for massage- she never planned it as a career- she
soon found herself with, “enough clients to earn a
living and quit my job”. The trust my client’s gave me
inspired me to get more involved in their health”. She
was soon working closely with a physical therapist
picking up practical methods and treatments as well as
using modern rehab equipment to facilitate rapid
recovery and change her patient’s body dynamics. Having
focused on health sciences and nutrition as an undergrad
student as well as developing a personal yoga practice,
which she could apply with her patients – she developed
unique treatments bringing all this to the table.

Still desiring to learn more she returned
to graduate school full time and earned her Master’s Degree
in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Those four
years were devoted to extensive study of herbal medicine,
acupuncture, and other modalities. In recent years Chinese
medicine has become integrated with western allopathic
medicine not only in China but increasingly in the U.S. This
fact was well represented in the earning of her degree with
rigorous training in western medicine – anatomy/physiology,
pathophysiology, clinical medicine, pharmacology, etc, as an
integral component.
Moving to more recent years, Beth-Ellen has
developed a practice not only in pain management, stress relief
and addictive behaviors– but also works closely with pre-natal
and post-natal women, helping them through the challenges and
concerns with their pregnancies: rashes, insomnia, morning
sickness, back pain, sciatica, and general health, keeping her
patients immune system and their growing babies at their best,
easing them through this exciting time.
Most recently, Beth-Ellen has been working
with patient’s skin and muscle tone, doing Cosmetic Facial
Acupuncture Facelifts with great success.
On a personal note, Beth-Ellen, a self
described foodie , enjoys all cuisines, interesting
wines, walking, hiking and all kinds of art.
Volunteer Activities include 12 years on
the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Docent Council and relief
work with Acupuncturists Without Borders.
“the beauty of Chinese medicine is the
ability it has to determine imbalances within the body,
correcting them before they become major disease”. |
